Just like every year, the village in the Swiss Alps will be the capital of world economy from 20 to 23 January. It is the time of the year again when political leaders and leaders of the business world meet at the annual conference of the World Economic Forum. And this year the topics are numerous. One of the topics that hit the media recently is that of the growing gap between the very rich and the very poor. An issue not only apparent in developing countries but also countries of the so-called First World.

The 4th Industrial Revolution is those at the center – the utilization of new technologies like artificial intelligence, robotics, nanotechnology as well as genetics and biotechnology will shape the future. The challenges: the creation of new jobs in these fields need new skill sets accordingly. Challenges that the education systems of countries will need to address.
Still, these days one of the main topics of European politics is the challenges connected to involuntary migration, the fear of terrorist attacks and the answer thereto of European governments. Measures to which will have an impact on the economies of Europe.
And so, although, the World Economic Forum is a meeting place for high-ranking decision makers this year will observe the absence of Angela Merkel and François Hollande.
